Proposed developments at Barnfield Drive, Chichester, will be discussed in part two of Chichester District Council’s cabinet meeting on Tuesday 9 April.

Chichester District Council members had previously agreed to enter into contracts with the Brookhouse Group for development of the land at a council meeting in October 2011.

Last year, the CDC’s development control committee approved an outline planning application for a major non-food retail development of over 6,000 square metres, at the site which if built out would create circa 100 full time jobs however there were objections from the city council and a number of local residents.

Because it was only an “outline” application, a detailed plan will have to be presented to the planning committee for consideration.
