The fourth UK breast cancer support centre, the Wessex Haven Centre, is set to open in Titchfield in summer 2015, and Chichester business Nicola Jane has been busy raising funds and awareness to help meet the target of £1.1m for the centre's first two years' running costs.
Nicola Jane, a lingerie store in Basin Road - Chichester, began trading in 1996 and specialises in high-quality mastectomy lingerie and swimwear to help restore confidence after breast cancer – so the company's partnership with breast cancer charity The Haven is the perfect fit.
The team at Nicola Jane has been fundraising throughout October, and a series of special events kicks off with a Pink Party at the store on Wednesday 29th October, from 4pm-7pm. Pink bubbly will be the drink of choice, and customers can browse exclusive autumn sale stock.
Ten per cent of all sales made at the Pink Party will go towards the appeal, and there will also be the chance for individuals and businesses to discuss their own future fundraising initiatives with Heidi Rehman, community fundraiser for The Haven.
The Haven helps hundreds of people who have been affected by breast cancer, offering free services such as emotional support, complementary therapies and exercise and stress reduction techniques for the person diagnosed and for their close friends and family.
