The University of Chichester International College (UCIC)

POSITION: Programme Director

LOCATION: Chichester, UK
DETAILS: Full time, salaried - 33,000 per annum

About UCIC (part of the Holmes Education Group)
Holmes Education Group is a diversified, multinational, multi-sectoral education provider that offers an extensive range of educational programmes for students and professionals including university programmes from undergraduate to postgraduate level, secondary education, language training, vocational and work-based training and teacher training. 2021 sees the launch of The University of Chichester International College (UCIC), our fifth university partnership in the United Kingdom. We are now recruiting ambitious, talented teaching professionals to join our team of academic staff as we take this venture forward. We are returning to face to face teaching for our Autumn semester so are looking for tutors based locally or within commuting distance of the university.

About the role
The Programme Director will manage the current academic pathway courses at foundation and post graduate level. This will involve supporting and directly line managing Hourly Paid Lecturers, overseeing the assessment procedures, collating and presenting academic data for committees and exam boards and assuming the role of Academic Integrity Officer for the College. In addition to the management and oversight of the academic provision, teaching is a key aspect of this position so prior teaching experience at FE/HE level is essential.
Successful candidates will contribute to the overall quality of education at UCIC and work closely with colleagues at The University of Chichester. They will be expected to develop and enhance the delivery of the current modules with regards to the wider programme. This incorporates a broad knowledge and understanding of the core competencies of each pathway as well as study skills and communication techniques requisite to further undergraduate and postgraduate studies for international students within the University’s receiving Schools.

Prior FE/HE teaching experience is essential, ideally with international students.
