Based at East Row, Chichester City Centre. The Intensive Family Support Team in Chichester needs a Social Worker to complete the team. You will be part of a busy team facing all of the challenges of Court Work and Child Protection work in the context of Integrated Working and an organisation striving to improve. If you are a qualified Social Worker, we think this is an exciting opportunity to further your career in a focused service area. You will be responsible for delivering high quality services to our most vulnerable children and families, children with Child Protection Plans and children subject to Care Proceedings. Experience of Court Work is desirable, but not essential. We can offer you a pleasant working environment with high quality management and clerical support. The managers are committed to providing staff with the necessary support and resources required to meet our high expectations. Performance in all areas is under close scrutiny and so more than ever, we believe that supervision and access to a range of training and development opportunities are essential. Flexible working is available in consultation with your manager. You will have an appropriate social work qualification, GSCC registration and evidence of previous experience working with children and young people. You will also need to demonstrate sound analytical skills that can translate into coherent Care Plans for children, a clear understanding of Integrated Working and commitment to working collaboratively with professionals from our partner agencies. If you think you can meet our requirements and like the sound of what we can offer we would really like to hear from you. The Chichester office covers a large area, both rural and urban, including locations that are not always easily accessible by public transport, a valid full driving licence is needed for this post.
