We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced and skilled web developer. This is the perfect role for a developer who will enhance the University digital experience. You will lead on the development of the University VLE (Virtual Learning Environment), which will support learning and teaching across the University.

Working alongside talented colleagues, you will be involved in the programming and maintenance of the University’s VLE (Moodle). You will enable the design, testing and management of web applications, working closely with the TEL Team (Technology Enhanced Learning).

This role requires excellent attention to detail and an understanding of development approaches and practices. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in a wide range of web programming languages including HTML and PHP.

Previous experience of Higher Education is not essential. However, you should be able to demonstrate your capability in developing a learning environment within a similarly sized organisation.

Working styles are flexible, supported by excellent, secure collaboration tools that enable the team to use facilities on the Bognor and Chichester Campuses.
