Graduate Assistant - Musical Theatre
ONLY OPEN TO UNIVERSITY OF CHICHESTER GRADUATES
Fixed Term Contract - 2 September (ideally) 2019 to 28 August 2020 for 15 hours per week.
We are seeking a Graduate Assistant who wants to join our team and gain their first experience of working on delivering our Musical Theatre Triple Threat programme. The role provides an exciting opportunity to gain valuable working knowledge and experience of a lively musical theatre environment and working within a large multi-disciplinary team based at the Bognor Regis campus.
Under the guidance of both the Programme Assistant and the Programme Coordinator you will assist in managing a variety of administrative tasks, including liaising with tutors, students and guests with particular responsibility in ensuring the smooth running of the weekly timetable. The post holder will be a graduate of the University of Chichester and will have completed their degree over the last three years. The role provides an excellent opportunity for the graduate to gain valuable working knowledge and experience whilst at the same time be supported through relevant professional training and development.
The University is committed to supporting the post-holder through a variety of training and development opportunities including on the job training, and in-house courses. With a very supportive team around you you''ll be sharing the workload each week with the other part time Programme Assistant. You will need to be proactive with the ability to "hit the ground running", interact with individuals at all levels, and willing to turn your hand to a variety of work.
You must have a relevant degree, which includes a broad knowledge of musical theatre and ideally some administrative experience in relation to the industry. The 15 hours a week will cover two days, normally every Tuesday and Friday. However, there is some flexibility particularly in the early stages of the contract to enable a handover with the Programme Assistant.
Informal enquiries are welcomed by: Karen Howard, Programme Coordinator on firstname.lastname@example.org
Interview Date: Friday 30 August 2019
Starting date, as soon as possible from Monday 2 September.
