We are seeking to appoint three Assistant Psychologists to support the service delivery of West Sussex Educational Psychology Service. The postholder will develop experience of working with a range of professional groups. The post is an opportunity to apply psychology in a range of educational settings and situations as well as providing support to the Educational Psychologists in each area team and would be particularly suitable for those wishing to pursue a post graduate qualification in applied psychology.

You will be responsible for supporting service delivery, undertaking a range of tasks in a variety of contexts, including direct work with children and young people and their families, supporting the EPS service delivery to schools, as well as collating, analysing and presenting data and providing feedback

You will have proven ability to listen to children and young people and be able to use excellent interpersonal skills in order to build effective relationships with clients. You will also have excellent crisis management skills with the ability to recognise the individual needs of clients.

You will have opportunities to work alongside team members and also to undertake some work independently. All work undertaken will be supervised by an Educational Psychologist. We are an established, friendly and supportive team with two office bases, in Worthing and Horsham. IT equipment is provided for team members which enables some home working to be undertaken.

£23,188 - £25,727 per annum
