Our client a prestige furniture provider based in West Sussex are currently seeking an experience Distribution Team Leader to join their busy and rapidly expanding team.

Your duties' will include;

? Supervision and leadership of loading team
? Assist Distribution co-ordinator and cover when on holidays.
? Responsibility for distribution housekeeping & cleanliness
? Ensure all loads are marshalled prior to loading.
? Ensure 100% bar-coding on of all loads – once to marshal, once to load.
? Ensure boxes are ready for despatch at 7am daily and all other despatch deadlines are met.
? Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met and all staff adheres to Risk Assessments.
? Training of distribution loaders to improve accuracy and to reduce product damage through poor handling/loading.
? Ensure agency drivers are fully briefed on all aspects of the delivery including scanners and paperwork.
? Play an active role in the creation and implementation of ideas to improve stock movement around the distribution lines and reduce manual handling.
? To keep the track plan updated daily.
? Ensure all returned, missed deliveries are reported and dealt with within 24 hours.
? Other tasks as directed by the Distribution Manager.

Your attributes will include strong leadership skills, excellent communication, ability to work under pressure, excellent organisation skills, computer literate and flexibility to working hours.

This candidate will have experience of working within a distribution environment long term or at a supervisory level.
