We are recruiting for Part Time Female Support Workers to join a independent living project in Felpham, Bognor Regis, the role requires flexibility over weekdays, weekend, evening and sleep-ins. Due to the individuals specific needs this role requires a female and a driver with a full driving license.
If you enjoy being outside, music, gardening, baking, and even the occasional trip to the Zoo or Theme Park, as well as supporting someone to 'live their best life" then please take a closer look.
You will be joining a our small friendly supportive team, based in Felpham near Bognor Regis, dedicated to supporting two female person we support, to live their lives, have fun and feel good. You will work closely with each person and their families to ensure that their time is spent doing the things that matter to them, as well as discovering new things to do.
- Support people to maintain contact with family and maintain existing friendships and create opportunities to form new friendships.
- Promote healthy lifestyles and wellbeing, ensuring access to community and specialist health services including assisting the people we support to attend medical and health appointments.
- Assist and support people with personal care, which can range from prompting to physical assistance (e.g. bathing, hair washing, shaving and where appropriate incontinence). The people we support may need support with stoma care, cream application and support with diabetes
- Actively listen to the people we support and their views and wishes (sometimes this may mean by observing and learning, not just verbally).
