We are seeking to appoint a new IT Technical Specialist to join the IT Operations team. You will work as part of a close-knit team with other talented staff that share a passion for ensuring a scalable, high performing and secure technical infrastructure. This role focuses on in-depth technical support of the entirety of the University network, with special attention to application delivery technologies and classroom technologies. The role includes assisting the customer experience team in diagnosing and resolving desktop issues, and supporting the development team in the design and roll out of new technologies and solutions. The post holder will work closely with the IT Technical Lead in developing these, and in helping determine whatever might be the best technologies for the University’s future. You will have an innovative and enthusiastic approach as you work across project teams. You will work with developers and professionals across each of the IT teams including Service Development, Corporate Systems and IT Operations as well as working closely with the first line support. The projects you work on will require regular interaction with external experts and contractors, as well as key stakeholders and the service users throughout the University.
