KINGSHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL, CHICHESTER

21.25 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum

GBP 7,703 to GBP 8,136 actual annual salary

(GBP 15,613 to GBP 16,491 per annum, pro rata)

Kingsham is a true community school, not far from the centre of Chichester but in an area with its own unique character. Impressive indoor and outdoor spaces are used imaginatively to enrich learning, and local Whyke United football teams are welcomed to its playing fields for weekend matches. Kingsham Primary School sets high expectations for staff and children and aims to instil a desire for knowledge in every child by demonstrating that learning is a lifelong adventure

An opportunity has arisen to strengthen our team of Teaching Assistants. Working closely with the Class Teacher you will support teaching and learning and the physical and mental wellbeing of pupils.

Supporting a wide range of learning activities, you will work with the Class Teacher to ensure a safe environment, prepare resources, and in developing independent learning and promoting excellent behaviour. This will include supporting pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis. This post will also include lunchtime supervision.

With Level 2 awareness of the National Occupational Standards for Supporting Teaching and Learning, and a general understanding of effective strategies that underpin positive behaviour at primary school level, you will be a good communicator, with the ability to adapt to the audience. With a positive and flexible approach, and the presence to inspire confidence and trust, we encourage individuals with an enthusiasm to see children progress and develop to apply.

As part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust you will have access to additional opportunities and benefits. You will find that each academy has a unique identity, but a shared belief in creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued.

For an informal discussion or to visit the school, please contact the school office on (01243) 784046, or email office@kingshamprimary.org.uk.

For full details and an application pack please visit either the school website www.kingshamprimary.org.uk or call us on 01243 784046.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
