Commercial Manager

Horsham, West Sussex

Salary circa £35,000-40,000pa

A recognised and highly successfull organisation based in Horsham is currently seeking a dynamic leader to take responsibility for the smooth operation and day to day running of the Commercial Team. This is a newly created role within the organisation. You will have a particular focus on developing and managing a cross-functional team to ensure a variety of skills and experience is present as well as mitigating any risk areas. Working to improve process effectiveness, they will oversee projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set achievable targets for the team to ensure delivery of company objectives.
  • Develop an extensive knowledge of all commercial contracts and their effect on the organisation.
  • Through the team develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders and departments.
  • Develop and document effective and efficient commercial processes from Procurement to Billing.
  • Fostering and nurturing an environment of customer service excellence.
  • Develop and implement effective training programmes for the team.
  • Provide direction and leadership to direct reporting lines and operational employees.
  • Ability to work flexibly to support the needs of the wider team.

The ideal candidate will come from a financial services background and team management role. Candidates outside of the financial services sector will also be considered. You will be able to demonstrate proven hands on leadership and the ability to influence and lead by example. You will have high prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to multi task whilst remaining focused on team goals. Strong IT skills are also necessary including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
