We are looking for a Women and Sport Research Fellow to join our growing team of researchers in this key post. The purpose of this role is to support the Institute of Sport to deliver strategic research, scholarship, and commercial activity relating to women and sport, in particular; the Anita White Foundation (AWF), the Women's Sport Leadership Academy (WSLA) and the FA Women's High Performance Football Centre (WHPFC).


The AWF, launched in 2011 and based at the University of Chichester, aims to be internationally recognised for combining ground-breaking academic study, the education and development of women leaders and scholars in sport, and the preservation of heritage for women and sport. The role will include being responsible for administering the AWF, contributing to the development of its projects and seeking research funding.


The successful post holder will support the delivery of an annual residential programme designed to increase the competence and confidence of women leaders from around the world, together with working closely with our delivery partners. In addition you will be supporting the work of the WHPFC and the Institute of Sport in the delivery of lecturers, seminars and practical classes and contribute to the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.


Applicants must have a demonstrable background in Women in Sport research and experience of higher education teaching. You will need a high level of communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate at all levels and must be able to show initiative, working both independently and as part of a team to achieve the overall aims of the projects.


A wide range of experience in undertaking research methodologies is required, and a knowledge of Women and Sport networks, research and development is essential.


This role is full time and Fixed Term for 3 years (subject to funding)
