We are looking for a fully, qualified experienced Plumber to join our Estate Management Team, providing a range of professional services across our University campuses in Chichester and Bognor Regis.
You will work with colleagues to support high quality plumbing installation, repairs and maintenance, in accordance with the required British Standards, Codes of Practice and safe systems of work across both our campus and various other sites in Chichester.
You must be a fully qualified and experienced Plumber with a customer focused, helpful and flexible approach to work, which will support the University Estate Management "don't walk by" system to enable issues to be dealt with quickly and effectively. We are looking for someone who will take a creative approach to change, which challenges assumptions and is not based purely on enhancing existing practice. In addition to your core discipline you will regularly help and assist other members of our professional maintenance team working outside your core trade as necessary.
The University offers you a 37-hour working week Hours are currently Monday to Thursday 8 am to 4.30 pm and Friday 8 a.m. to 4.00 pm; 25 days' paid holiday (rising to 27 days' in your fifth year of service), Bank Holidays and University closure period (e.g. between Christmas and the New Year).
The University also supports a range of training and development opportunities and its own full equipped on site gym with discounted membership.
This position is required to support an on-call rota for which an allowance is paid.
