We are currently looking for an experienced Housing Officer for an established company in Chichester. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of temporary accommodation.
You will also be required to;
provide support to placements at bed and breakfast and other housing facilities.
provide a visible and accessible presence at the temporary accommodation schemes managing the day-to-day operation.
To be the first point of contact with out of hour emergencies in the temporary accommodation.
Assist the Housing Options Manager in the operational and strategic use of the sites ensuring that operational targets are met for occupation, voids and income and that residents are carefully and appropriately housed and their duration at the sites adhere to scheme guidelines and objectives.
Assist members of the section in identifying and providing direct and/or floating support services for residents enabling them to maximise their independence and minimise their stay in temporary accommodation.
Welcome and help new residents move into the accommodation and provide a comprehensive induction service in accordance with agreed policies, including Health & Safety.
Promote good relations between residents at all times and seek to cultivate and sustain a safe, secure and harmonious atmosphere at all times.
Collect, record and bank licence fees and other incomes. Ensure that Housing Benefit claims are completed and processed to meet license fees.
Ensure that appropriate internal arrangements are in place between Housing Interventions, Accountancy and Revenues and Housing Benefits to efficiently collect outstanding monies.

This role offers a fantastic salary of 11.00per hour with the opportunity to apply permanently for the role. The permanent salary will be between 28,000-30,000.
