An industry leading manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Brighton is currently seeking an Accounts / Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their finance team. This organisation is building upon several years of healthy growth, driven by innovation and new product launches, and expanding its operations which means an addition needs to be made to their finance team.

This will be a busy and important role for the team and the successful candidate will have plenty to keep them occupied on a day to day basis. Overview of responsibilities:

• Ownership of company's purchase ledger function.
• To process invoices on the Invoice Register on a daily basis and send them to be authorised by the person who raised the purchase order.
• Check and code invoices then load onto finance system.
• Pay Proforma invoices when requested and chase up tax invoices for paid pro-forma invoices.
• Check and maintain supplier statements on a monthly basis.
• Load Stock invoices onto finance system and attach GRN once authorised by the Commercial Manager and or Company Director.
• Prepare and input weekly payments runs to suppliers.
• Deal with supplier enquiries/requests
• Respond to any internal customer's requests
• Monthly Intrastat Return
• To carry out any other finance tasks as requested by Management and help cover colleague's absence / holidays.

Candidates must have existing purchase ledger experience, excellent attention to detail, and commitment towards their work.
