The University is seeking an experienced, professional manager with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing teams in a fast paced, customer service environment, ensuring the delivery of proactive services which exceed customer expectation and deliver the best possible student experience. The post holder manages a range of campus services which include a large Cleaning Services Team, night time Duty Managers, parking management, contracted transport, security and catering services.

Reporting to the Head of Campus and Residential Services the post will combine practical "hands on" management direction to a variety of staff with planning and significant responsibility for a range of tactical and operational facilities. Contributing to the successful operation of our campuses and associated sites the post holder is responsible for the day to day management of campus service activities liaising with a range of University colleagues including Estate Management, Health and Safety and external contract providers.

It''s vital you have significant knowledge of catering and cleaning management obtained by practical experience and the ability to work successfully in a very fast moving work environment which requires daily multi-tasking and the ability to act decisively in reactive situations. You must have significant demonstrable experience in the tendering of large contracts using the OJUE process.

This is not a 9-5 job and to deal effectively with operational matters flexibility on working hours, including some evenings / weekend work, is required for which time off in lieu will be given.
