This is a key post within the Aldingbourne Trust to develop a new community project in Portsmouth Gig Buddies.

The post requires innovative thinking, a creative mind, community engagement, strong planning and organization skills, strong communication and leadership skills. 
Gig Buddies is based and operates from MAKE@Aldingbourne Enterprises located in Fratton, Portsmouth.

Our Gig Buddies project matches up people who have learning disabilities and/or autism with a volunteer who shares the same passions and interests as them so they can go out and have fun together and develop an ongoing friendship. You will be supporting an incredible inclusive community of people who like fun and friendship, seeing each member of gig buddies as the fabulous individual that they are. 

If you would like to work in a driven team and are a friendly, positive, organised, self-motivated person, with lots of energy, creativity and enthusiasm, this might just be the job for you.

You will be engaging with the community and building networks for a variety of social activities so strong communication skills are essential.
 
The contractual hours for this post are 30 hours per week working five days in seven including some evening, weekend and public holidays. Flexibility is key in this job role. 
 
Salary in range of £14,882 - £15,644
(salary for 30 hour week and dependent on skills and experience)

This is initially an 18 month contract.
