SUPPORT WORKER (Stonepillow Recovery Service)
Salary £17,975 per annum
Rising to £18,277pa following probation

Working on 4 on 2 off shifts (7.30am 4pm & 12.00 8.30pm)

Stonepillow offers shelter, information and support to empower homeless and vulnerable people to make positive changes in their lives.
Working within Stonepillow's Recovery Service, a unique community based 12-bed residential rehabilitation service for people with drug and/or alcohol problems.  The service is designed for people who are abstinent from substances and your role will be to support service users to increase their independence, improve their quality of life and achieve their personal goals by offering recovery focused support in the form of 1:2:1's, group work and supporting individuals to access education, volunteering and employment.
Ideally you will have experience of working with substance misuse and/or mental health issues in a recovery orientated setting. A working knowledge of safeguarding and implementing individual support plans and undertaking risk assessments is desirable as well as experience of delivering group work.
It is essential that you will have a non-judgmental and enabling approach to supporting single homeless and vulnerable adults and have experience and knowledge of Health, Housing and Work issues facing service users who are in recovery.
