This post features the teaching of an advanced group of music theory students as part of the first year compulsory Musical Grammar modules.  These modules are of fundamental importance to the acquisition of concepts of music theory and the role will be divided between teaching, preparing a curriculum tailored to an advanced level theory group and devising and marking assessment papers.

 

The working year will be primarily teaching, teaching-related administration, tutorials and assessment activities in such proportions as may be decided by the Programme Coordinator and Head of Department. 

 

You will need to possess a comprehensive theoretical knowledge and experience of teaching advanced level theory with the ability to translate this into practical teaching contact.

 

This is a one year fixed term contract and the hours are part time and varied depending on the needs of the students.
