As a Social Worker with the Western Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT), based at Durban house in Bognor Regis, you will undertake many roles from assessing need and risk management, adult safeguarding, mental capacity assessments, person centred care planning and crisis intervention. This is an opportunity to work with experienced and committed health and social care colleagues, supporting progressive practice with adults with Learning Disability to enable people to be active members of their community and promoting true citizenship. You will need to be resilient and innovative in your response to the significant pressures upon adult social care. You will have a clear understanding and working knowledge of legislation, current policies and national agendas relating to Adults with Learning disability.

As a qualified Social worker, you will have good communication skills to be able to nurture and build excellent working relationships within the multi-disciplinary team and with partners, customers, their families and carers. You will undertake occasional frontline duty at the first point of contact for the team and support the team duty worker, undertaking duty tasks on a rotational basis as a backup worker.

We offer an attractive benefits package including a childcare voucher scheme, flexible working and Local Government Pension Scheme. There will be an expectation that you will be able to perform at the relevant levels within the professional capability framework. You will be a qualified, registered social worker adhering to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards of proficiency.
