This job is on a fixed term contract for 1 year. 
The Administrative Assistant - Postal Services and Travel Plan is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of post, whilst also supporting the University's Green Travel Plan, promoting sustainable travel across the University.
With the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively, the post holder will process and sort all outgoing and incoming post, including parcels as well as internal post distribution, booking same day deliveries, courier requests and postal tracking. The successful applicant will also need to work accurately and methodically, ensuring that invoices are checked and administered in a timely manner. 
Requiring strong interpersonal skills the post holder will act as the first point of contact for all travel plan related matters, working with internal and external bodies to develop excellent working relationships, co-ordinating the inter-campus bus service and promoting the bus service and wider sustainable travel initiatives to the University community. You will also administer the car park database, co-ordinating the annual distribution of car parking permits and travel surveys to measure utilisation of the bus service and car parks.
