38,237 to 46,980 per annum 1 x permanent, full time position and 1 x fixed term, part time position (30 hours per week) Based in Horsham but covering West Sussex Subject to an enhanced DBS check, HCPC registration, References, Driving Licence & Health Check.

We are currently looking for two new Practice Manager posts in:

Special Guardianship Order Assessment Team 1 fte - 37 hours per week, permanent contract

We are looking to recruit a Practice Manager to our dynamic and forward thinking team.

You would manage and supervise a team of 6 social workers who write Reg 24 assessments for the Fostering Panel and SGO assessments for court. You will need supervisory skills and have an ability to make good practice decisions in a timely manner. You will need to have an understanding of what a good assessment looks like and support team members with achieving good practice and outcomes for children.

This team has a strong and supportive leadership team and is committed to creative development of all members.

Fostering Recruitment PM vacancy 0.8 fte - 30 hours per week, fixed term contract for 18 months

WSCC is committed to recruiting more foster carers for our children looked after and therefore the fostering recruitment team is expanding. This is an exciting and dynamic time to join our service.

We need a practice manager who understands what constitutes an outstanding foster carer and has the ability and experience to support social workers in their evidence- and theory-based Form F assessments. Experience of overseeing a duty system and/or initial enquiries and an ability to respond and make decisions in a timely manner is essential.

In order to respond to the needs of our children looked after population we need a creative, proactive and reflective practitioner who has proven leadership skills.

We are an established and experienced team, with strong senior leadership supporting our work. We are committed to making a difference and are embracing the challenges ahead.

You will supervise and manage a number of social workers and a duty system therefore both fostering and supervisory experience is necessary. Knowledge of signs of safety, secure base and attachment theory is also required.

For both roles you must be HCPC registered, hold a social work qualification and have use of a car as this is a county wide team.
