We have an exciting opportunity within the Finance, Performance and Procurement Directorate to lead the council’s Accounts Receivable Team. The purpose of the role is to efficiently manage the council’s credit control and debt management processes to ensure income is collected in a timely and accurate manner. You will be dynamic and self-sufficient to drive through improvements in the council’s debt management arrangements to maximise the council’s cash flow, which is particularly important in times of financial challenge. You will have excellent communication and analytical skills, the ability to raise the profile of debt management across the council, alongside experience of managing a team.

Previous experience of working in a credit control/debt management environment is highly desirable, as the council looks to take advantage of technology opportunities to ensure that making a payment to the council is as straightforward as possible.
