A secondment opportunity has arisen within Fleet Services Team for the role of Fire and Rescue Service Logistic Support Facility – Supply Officer.

The Fleet and Operational Equipment Stores are located at Power Place on Terminus Road (Chichester), with stock kept on site to ensure the efficient functioning of a busy workshop and to ensure that the wider Fire and Rescue Service is fully equipped to respond and attend to incidents.

Looking after the day-to-day operation of two stores (located in the same building), the role-holder will:

•Be available throughout the day to manage the goods-in function for the building;
•Pick and dispatch orders;
•Assist with ensuring that the stores area is kept clean, orderly and secure;
•Monitor stock levels;
•Work with a range of colleagues who require equipment and/or access to the Stores;
•Place orders with external suppliers using a P-Card and/or Purchase Orders;
•Be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety policies;
•Have a willing, flexible attitude and a good work ethic.

The role holder will be supported by other team members within Fleet Support, but will also be required to work alone or with minimal supervision. This is an active role with the lifting and moving of equipment required.
