We are looking for an advisory teacher to support children with Social Communication Difficulties including Autism Spectrum Conditions, their schools and families within West Sussex. The position covers both Primary and Secondary age ranges and will include individual based consultative casework and providing training to school staff and others working with children with autism. The post holder will coordinate their work with that of other professionals within the Autism and Social Communication Team and other relevant agencies.

You should have:
•Qualified teacher status with experience of teaching children with Autism
•Knowledge of theory and current evidence based best practice relating to Autism
•Experience of effective multi-agency working and collaborative work with parents
•Good organisational skills and excellent communication skills, including the use of IT.

Ideally candidates will have experience working in an advisory capacity within mainstream educational settings promoting the inclusion of pupils with Autism.
