The Institute of Education is currently seeking an experienced Academic to lead and develop the academic and professional aspects of the undergraduate primary initial teacher education programme and promote its well established internal and external reputation with particular reference to teaching and learning. The post holder will also be expected to make a contribution to the range of activities that ensure and assure the quality of teaching, learning within the academic and professional modules that form the BA (Hons) Primary Education and Teaching (BAPET) programme.  Qualified to Masters level, you will also hold Qualified Teacher status and have a strong research and scholarly activity profile. You will be an experienced teacher with a thorough understanding of teaching within higher education and initial teacher education with a broad understanding of primary education; in addition you will demonstrate a successful track record in income generation. Organisational skills and the ability to problem solve are key to the role.
