The Planning Department is responsible for student related statistical returns made on behalf of the University. We are currently seeking a Management Information Analyst to be part of a small team tasked with the production of timely and accurate statistical returns as required by the funding bodies and other external agencies. The team aims to provide a comprehensive and professional service in the collection, analysis, interpretation, verification and presentation of meaningful data and intelligence for management decision making purposes across the institution. Qualified to degree level or with equivalent experience, you will demonstrate excellent technical skills using MS Excel and Access. In addition you will have the ability to collect and analyse data, apply basic statistical techniques and present the resulting information to senior management in readily understandable forms. Familiarity with the structure of databases and query languages is essential. A knowledge of the Qlikview software package would be useful. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive team environment and will take an innovative approach to problem solving and demonstrate exceptional time management and communication skills.
