Marjorie Cobby House is looking for Casual Grade 3 Support Workers to work within a busy residential home, responding to emergencies, hospital discharge and planned respite stays for older people.

You will work as part of a team based within a short term Residential setting, where the key aim is to support people with high levels of dependency or complex needs and enable every customer to be engaged in their local community to the best of their ability. For some customers this could be through a time-limited programme of targeted support to build confidence and help develop skills for independent living.

The purpose of this role is to encourage and stimulate customers, through the provision of outcome based care, that promotes independence, community engagement, enables them to develop and/or maintain daily living skills and to attend to their physical, social, mental and emotional needs, ensuring comfort, safety and wellbeing.

The role involves shift work patterns including weekend working.
