This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (formerly Criminal Records Bureau check) We are looking for someone to work closely and intensively with adults and children within what have been termed “Troubled Families”. 

You will be responsible to providing early intervention to families who are being held and prepared for allocation to a keyworker. This will involve making an initial assessment of need, arranging an initial meeting with the family and professionals and carrying out immediate actions. You will also work with a very small caseload of families that will have complex needs and may initially be resistant to engage. These families may have been involved with many agencies over a period of time, so you will need to really understand what the different agencies do, why they are involved and the best way to work with them, for the best outcome for the family. You will need to develop an understanding about the needs of families, to empower families to make choices and provide appropriate advice and assistance.

You will create and maintain accurate records and information relating to families.

This role will require flexibility and creativeness, with a willingness and ability to work flexibly around the families’ needs.

The post is based in Horsham but will be providing a service to families in the North of the County.
