The Economic Growth Team has a vacancy for an experienced economic development professional to join us to help drive forward the economy priorities of Future West Sussex. The role will act as the lead professional on social enterprise development and support, through management and delivery of the `Spark` project focussed on harnessing the innovation of social enterprises, and funded through the Interreg v 2 Seas programme to 2019. The role requires a highly effective approach to working with social enterprises and other key stakeholders, along with a flexible approach, and well developed project management skills. You will be required to provide professional advice and project coordination at a County wide level, implementing statutory responsibilities and duties, and ensuring that the professional issues and projects are considered in terms of wider County objectives to a high customer focused standard. You will carry out research, analyse information, interpret, plan over the long term and make judgements about the acceptability of, and appropriate mitigation required to accompany proposals – working within budgets, balancing professional standards and the needs of the community. You will have the ability to travel independently to visit various sites and venues, to attend external meetings, and work in locations across the County, Country and in European partner nations, including outside normal working hours.
