Chichester Yacht Club is a private members' Club with bar, restaurant and functions suite overlooking Chichester Harbour.

Working to the Hospitality Manager, these 2 posts will be responsible for supervision of the day-to-day operation of the bar and restaurant, and of functions. Qualifications and experience in the hospitality sector are essential. Smart appearance, reliability and punctuality are important attributes. The roles are customer facing, requiring a friendly approach to members and guests, and the ability to deal with enquiries, problems and complaints. Both will be required to operate tills and cash up accurately, supervise part time and casual staff, assist in recruitment and training, and ensure building security.

The Bar Supervisor must have experience in cellar management, stock rotation and stock-take, health and safety requirements, and knowledge of licensing laws.

The Functions Supervisor must have experience in the planning, setting-up and delivery of events including wedding receptions, parties, business meetings and conferences.

After training, each post will be expected to be able to cover the other during sickness or holiday absences. Flexibility in hours and shift patterns is essential, and the location of the Club requires staff to have their own transport. Salary according to qualifications and experience.
