The Head of Student Wellbeing will have oversight and take a facilitative lead in administering, promoting and developing services responding to the needs of a complex and diverse range of students and will actively coordinate and work alongside other members of the team to provide an integrated support service for students.  With operational oversight of Mental Health, Nursing and Student Adviser services in addition to staff counsellors and the supervision of volunteer counsellors, the Head of Student Wellbeing will further develop professional standards and ethical working practices whilst also increasing the range of opportunities for students and staff to access the service. As a BACP or UKCP qualified Supervisor you will have demonstrable emotional resilience and the ability to work calmly under pressure, working a caseload of students with more complex counselling/therapy needs, as well as advising during critical incidents as required. Proactively managing risk, the Head of Student Wellbeing will be responsible for developing and delivering the service provision to meet current and future student demand in addition to presenting and facilitating focus groups and self-development courses for students and staff. This requires excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative working. This role is semester time only. 30 hours per week, 42 weeks per year.
