We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer who is Electrically biased to work within a manufacturing facility in Chichester.

This company offer career progression from Maintenance Engineer to Charge Hand, Engineering Supervisor and ultimately the potential to become Engineering Manager if the right work ethic and commitment is given. This role will be working double day's shifts, 6am to 2pm one week Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm the following week Monday to Friday. Essentially the successful candidate will provide effective maintenance on production line equipment with particular emphasis on sensors, inverters, drivers, controls etc. This role also offers the successful candidate the opportunity to become involved with project work and drive production maintenance strategy forwards.

The ideal candidate will have accumulated experience within food, packaging, pharmaceutical or FMCG production environments. You will have electrical certifications and essentially be a driven professional who wants to develop and make a difference.

The successful applicant will:

• Support site and production equipment, repairing and maintaining equipment in a safe, compliant manner. • Resolve equipment failures in an efficient, effective manner and escalate issues where necessary so correct support and urgency can be applied. • Pro-actively engage with all departments and fully support site operations to supply an efficient, compliant service on a right first time basis. • Provide best possible equipment availability for delivering site KPI's. Seek, implement and actively support engineering projects and improvements to equipment and processes to maintain or enhance the sites competitive edge.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Production equipment maintenance experience. • Recognised certifications in electrical engineering. • Experience in planned maintenance and other improvement practices. • Exposure to PLC – programmable logic controllers. • Good communication skills with drive to improve themselves further.
