The School of Earth and Environmental Sciences wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Geological Hazards with expertise in the areas of Volcanic and Seismic Hazards, and GIS and Remote Sensing. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of Applied Geoscientists and a school which has nearly 50 years of teaching and research in the Applied Geosciences. Candidates should possess the appropriate dynamism, expertise and qualifications to contribute to the academic development of our undergraduate and postgraduate Applied Geoscience programmes. Responsibilities will also include active participation in the School’s fieldwork programme (local and overseas). The appointee will be expected to complement and enhance the growing research, innovation and consultancy activities of the Centre for Applied Geosciences.

 

This appointment is to commence on 1 February 2016.
