The University of Chichester is looking for a Duty Manager to work evenings and nights, on a rota basis over a 7 day shift pattern to support their 24/7 operations. 4 days on and 4 days off over 8 weeks (average 37 hours per week). The Duty Manager will provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors by working with the contracted site security and other Estate Management staff to deliver a proactive service across both University campuses. When on duty the post holder will act as the University's lead person in fire and security incidents and assist with the management of the University's CCTV and access control systems if required. An excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills and a calm manner, the post holder will resolve and mediate issues whilst providing first level pastoral care for resident students as required, ensuring the security and safety of students by maintaining a visible and high profile on campus. With knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Management principles, the Duty Manager will assist with building lock-ups, room set ups and undertake statutory compliance testing.
