We aim, through the Early Childhood Service (ECS) to work with children, families, early years and childcare settings and partner organisations to help ensure that every child is supported to achieve his or her potential. These early years are when the foundations for future mental health, emotional well-being, intelligence and parenting ability are all set in place. The home surroundings, family life and parenting are all important factors in determining positive outcomes for children in the future.

You will offer information and guidance to the public and early years’ practitioners and provide administrative support in the production, collection and analysis of data to carry out the services of the Early Childhood Service.

You will assist in delivery of the Early Childhood Service strategies in West Sussex to secure high quality early years and childcare provision and provide an information and support service for parents and carers. You will also provide information, training and funding support for early years’ practitioners.
