Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There will be 850,000 people with dementia in the UK by 2015 with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

When it comes to dementia, the facts tell a powerful story. There will be 850,000 people with dementia in the UK by 2015 – and that number is set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. But these facts get more complicated when you look at them from a local level. West Sussex, East Sussex and Brighton & Hove have the largest over-80’s population in England and there are already around 27,451 people with dementia across this geographical area.

So it will come as no surprise that we can offer you a stimulating and challenging career as part of our growing local team.

With offices in Horsham, Worthing, Brighton and Battle, our 250 staff and volunteers deliver 50 services to around 1,300 people a month. They are supported by an Operations Manager and five Service Managers.

We are now looking for an exceptional individual to support people with dementia at a range of group activities in Chichester district.

The groups will offer a range of innovative activities targeted at active individuals in the early stages of dementia, and each will operate on one day per month.

We are looking for people who are passionate about improving the quality of life for people with dementia and who believe in seeing what people can do and in supporting them in getting the most out of life. You should possess NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) or have a knowledge or qualification in health or social care services.
