The Legal services Unit aims to give the best possible legal and insurance advice to the Council. As an organisation we have a simple goal to deliver the best possible services to the people of West Sussex. We do this through the people who work for us, so its paramount to us to ensure that our employees are supported and valued.

The Council is seeking to recruit two solicitors on career grades. The first vacancy is a part time post (three days a week) and the other a full-time post, one of which includes the role of Property Team Leader. Your entry point in the scheme will be determined at interview and progression thereafter will be achieved through successful performance of specific and general work areas set out in the Development Programme.

You will become part of a team of six lawyers, including a solicitor, a chartered legal executive (both part time) and a legal assistant (full time).
