A part time vacancy has become available within Coastal Workshop Rustington. The hours will support the workshop over 3 days Tuesday - Wednesday and Thursday though will require some flexibility to meet the needs of the service.

We enable people with learning difficulties to develop skills and responsibilities associated with employment within a real working environment. We presently do light packaging work for business clients. We are currently engaged in developing the service further to ensure that we are focusing on Customer’s Needs, enabling individuals to achieve their full potential, developing additional activities to enhance their knowledge and skills.

You will be working as part of a small team, providing active support to customers at the centre, promoting their independence, working in a person centred way. You will be supporting the clients both within their work, ensuring quality control, and in key working and running sessions.

Duties will include supporting customers with personal care needs, treating them with dignity and respect.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with this client group. You should be creative, self-motivated and able to communicate well at all levels, maintaining good relationships with both customers, carers and other stakeholders.

As a support worker you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and be supported and mentored by the team. You will have the opportunity to attend training relevant to your role.

The hours of work will be 8:30 – 4:00 Tuesday - Wednesday and Thursday
