We are currently recruiting for a contract R&D Scientist to work for a prestigious global manufacturing company in the Portsmouth area. This is a maternity cover position and offers the opportunity to work for this outstanding blue chip company.

The main duties of this role are:-

- To progress projects relating to the design, development, manufacture, validation, documentation, sale, application and maintenance of instruments and sensors, in accordance with current QMS.

- Ensure projects are carried out and products are produced in accordance with good manufacturing practice, safety guidelines, current legislation and meet customer and market requirements.

- Maintain project plans and records and report on the projects undertaken.

- Ensure product developed is fit for purpose and of good quality, validated and capable of manufacture. Candidates will require the following Skills and experience:-

- Relevant science degree is preferred

- Solid work history within this industry

. – R&D experience is highly desirable

. – Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

- Sound IT knowledge with Microsoft office.

the rate of pay is up to £20 per hour DOE.
