Coastal West Sussex Mind is a local mental health charity committed to promoting mental well-being in local communities and supporting the recovery and independence of individuals we provide support to. We are looking to develop our services and support for young adults aged 16-25 years.

Successful applicants will outreach into young people’s settings to develop and provide recovery focused 1:1 and group support and learning opportunities as well as overseeing and developing peer led support for young adults.

As well as having experience of working with young people with mental health problems post-holders will also need to demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for recovery focused mental health work and show that they can be a strong team player with real commitment to their work. They will also need to be able to work with minimum supervision, have initiative and be able to contribute to the direction and development of young peoples services within the organisation.

Coastal West Sussex Mind has vacancies for two x 0.5 wte youth recovery and well-being workers to work in it’s Worthing and Arun services

Salary: £11-54 ph (£11-101 pa for 18.5 hrs pw) – Initially fixed term contract to 30/6/16

We are open to considering these two part-time positions being undertaken by one individual wishing to work full-time. Please indicate on application form if this is preferred option.
