Waste Services is responsible for current and future waste management strategies and the delivery of the County Council’s Waste Disposal Authority obligations. These are largely managed through large, outsourced disposal contracts.

We are looking for experienced Contract Managers with extensive waste industry experience, although candidates evidencing comparable contract management knowledge and experience will also be considered.

The successful candidates will manage one of the large-scale, PPP and PFI waste disposal contracts in West Sussex and will work closely with members of the Waste Services Management Team and the wider Waste Partnership members to deliver effective, efficient and sustainable waste disposal services across the County. This will include the performance management and financial management of the contracts as well as contributing to the development of the future shape of service provision.
