What is the role?

• The role involves using a reach and wash system in order to carry out window cleaning tasks for both high level and low level properties across the city. • Some window cleaning tasks will require the use of a 65 foot lance • Due to the nature of our properties, there will be some tasks that require you to work from height • Using a towable jet wash system, you will undertake tasks to remove items such as graffiti, as well as clearing both paint and oil spillages across the city. • You will also be undertaking cleaning of communal bins through the use of a towable bin cleaning jet wash system • Carrying out some cleaning tasks in order to meet the purpose of the service "Keeping the local area clean and tidy" • The reporting of bulk items on the estate • The reporting of repairs and possible anti-social behaviour issues • You will be expected to work within a range of buildings including high-rise and sheltered schemes • Collect customer satisfaction data

Who is the person?

You need:

1. To have previous experience of using a reach and wash window cleaning system. (would be beneficial but not essential). 2. To be able to undertake the physical demands of using window cleaning lances up to & including 65 feet in length. 3. To be able to work from height through the use of a scaffold tower or platform 4. To have experience of using a commercial jet washing system would be beneficial but not essential. 5. A full driving licence & be able to tow a trailer, as the role involves the use of a van in order to travel to each site as well as transporting all equipment. 6. To be able to work as part of a small team, as well as on your own when required. 7. To have a clear awareness of Health and Safety and be able to apply it to your working environment 8. Good communication skills 9. To be able to work within a demanding and at times challenging environment 10. To be adaptable to change 11. To be able to understand and apply the systems thinking principles of work.
