Hillcrest Supported Living, Domiciliary Care and Residential Services are pioneering services aimed at supporting people with learning disabilities in their own home and in our Residential Care Homes. We are currently looking for a Support Worker for the Chichester area. You will be a patient and caring individual who is able to support people with complex needs. You must be willing, on occasions, to support people who have behaviours that challenge and to deal with unusual and emergency situations. If you want to work in a person centred service where your skills and attributes would be valued and would like to support people to achieve their goals and ambitions then we would like to hear from you. You will need to be willing to work shifts which might include weekends, evenings, sleep ins and Bank Holidays. Due to the intimate level of personal care required, only female staff can be considered for interview. This is a genuine occupational requirement of the role and is therefore exempt under the Equality Act 2010. Previous experience of supporting people with Learning Disabilities is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given. Driving licence, use of a car and Class 1 Business insurance is essential.
