We have an exciting opportunity within the Customer Experience unit of the Learning and Information Services Directorate for a part time Technical Support Technician.   This position and would ideally suit someone who may be looking for a new challenge, and a chance to advance their IT Technical skills.

The role of the IT Technical Support Technician will be to respond quickly and professionally to any customer IT issue or request and seek to provide a resolution or escalate it as appropriate to other teams.

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of   supporting IT hardware and software and systems and services. You will also need to possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft, Apple and other products and teaching room technology such as SMART boards, projectors and audio equipment.

You will need strong communication skills that enable you to communicate complex technical information with staff, students and visitors and will have the ability to problem solve technical issues. The post holder will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to excellent customer service.   An ability and desire to learn new skills and share skills and knowledge with colleagues and customers is essential.
