The Support and Information Zone (SIZ) provides a high quality enquiry handling and reception service or 'one-stop-shop' for students, staff and visitors.  We are seeking a SIZ Senior Service Advisor to join our teams at both the Bishop Otter Campus and Bognor Regis Campus.

You will deal with internal and external contacts who ask for service or require information, creating a positive image of the University by being responsive and prompt in responding to requests. This will require the Senior Service Advisor to proactively explore and understand customers' needs.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering the standard SIZ services which includes answering queries and resolving issues relating to a broad set of topics and services.  In addition, as SIZ Senior Service Advisor Classroom Technical Support/IT Lead, the post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that a consistent level of IT technical support is maintained, provided and developed during our non-core hours for our IT systems and classroom technology.

You will possess excellent interpersonal skills and must demonstrate the ability to communicate a wide range of information to staff, students and visitors.  Demonstrable skills in first line IT support, such as trouble shooting printers, and photocopiers and setting up WIFI on portable devices are required together with the ability to appreciate IT issues from the service user's perspective.  As an evening and weekend IT lead, you will be empowered to escalate major service outages to the IT on-call team, therefore a broad knowledge of IT systems and services is required.  The ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of IT issues is essential to be successful in this role.

A strong commitment to customer service is also essential, and having a broad understanding of student-related services offered in a Higher Education environment would be an advantage. This post will include participating in a working pattern that includes regular evening and weekend work.

Semester only (37 hours per week over 42 weeks per annum)
