We are currently recruiting for an Accountant to join one of our top clients based in Chichester.

The main purpose of this role will be to look after all the general accountants and provide support to the Finance Director.

Your responsibilities will include: (for several different accounts)

* Sales ledger invoicing
* Purchase Ledger
* Nominal ledger journals
* Credit Control
* VAT returns
* Petty cash
* Reconciliation of Nominal ledger control accounts
* Creation of excel spreadsheet and keying on information to be able to produce monthly accounts
* Invoicing
* Updating pension spreadsheets

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, be able to work well as part of a team and use own initiative when needed. You must have experience of Excel and be able to create and manage spreadsheets.

This is a Maternity cover role for 12 months, salary will be between £20-£23K depending on experience.
