We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant for one of our top clients based in Portsmouth.

The main purpose of this role is to support the Financial Controller in the day to day running of the Finance office and oversee management of Sales and Purchase ledger.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Maintain Fixed Asset spreadsheet and recorded accurately on Sage.
* Oversee sales ledger including raising of sales invoices
* Supervise age debt collection
* Overview purchase ledger and payment runs
* Daily bank reconciliation to ensure all bank balances agree to Sage
* Prepare the month end timetable for review by Financial Controller
* Support the Financial Controller in preparing the Management Accounts
* Prepare monthly payroll spreadsheet
* Daily management of the Accounts Assistants including monthly reviews
* Ensure employees payments, PAYE, NI, Pension, CSA and HMRC payments are paid on time

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and managerial experience is desirable. You must have good verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate well with the Financial Controller, be able to work autonomously and work alongside other departments in the business.

This is a full time, permanent position with a salary between £27-£30K.
