The University of Chichester is keen to recruit a Senior Lecturer with particular expertise in the Sociology of Sport and/or Sport Development to commence in post on 1 December 2014.  The successful applicant would teach across a range of modules on the BA in Sport Studies; the BA in Sport Business and Management; the BA in Sport Development and Coaching; the FdSc/BSc in Community Sport Coaching, and the FdSc/BSc in Football Coaching and Performance.

You will have demonstrable experience in the sociology of sport/sport development, and be able to deliver modules in the areas of Study Skills, Research Methods, Critical insights into contemporary sport, Reading sport critically and Sport and sustainable community development.

You will have a postgraduate qualification in the Sociology of Sport, Sport Development or a related discipline, or a relevant undergraduate qualification and industrial experience.  In addition, you will demonstrate excellent teaching and communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
